About this role

The Center for Women’s Health & Wellness at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a part-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team on the Seacoast. This role offers a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient care in a collaborative, physician-supported environment.

The CNM will split time between the hospital’s antepartum, delivery, and postpartum units and the outpatient OB/GYN clinic. Weekly schedules include one 12-hour inpatient shift (day or night) and two 8-hour outpatient clinic shifts, with weekend rotation of approximately 1-2 shifts per month.

Our Birth Center welcomes more than 1,700 babies each year, making it the most popular on the Seacoast. Inpatient care is supported by two CNMs per shift, with an in-house OB/GYN physician available 24/7 for consultation, and 24/7 in-house NICU and anesthesia providers.

This position offers 27 hours of clinical, patient-facing time and 3 hours of administrative time per week. Holidays are tracked and evenly distributed year to year, supporting work-life balance in a mission-driven, not-for-profit health system.
