Join Mercy Health at Werribee Mercy Hospital, a public hospital serving the culturally diverse and rapidly growing community in Melbourne's west. Our maternity services support nearly 4,000 low to moderate risk women across their childbearing journey each year.

As a Registered Midwife on permanent night duty, you will work across Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Unit, Pregnancy Day stay, Antenatal and Postnatal services, including Midwifery in the Home. You will support women through the entire pregnancy journey, providing holistic care during labor, birth, and the postpartum period.

Requirements

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
Demonstrated ability to provide care across the full spectrum of maternity services
Experience working in a hospital maternity setting with low to moderate risk women
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment
Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity

Responsibilities

Support women through the entire pregnancy journey, from antenatal to postnatal care
Work across Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Unit, Pregnancy Day stay, and Antenatal services
Provide postnatal care including Midwifery in the Home
Fulfil your potential using your entire scope of midwifery practice
Collaborate with the dedicated maternity education team to enhance clinical skills
Support nearly 4,000 low to moderate risk women annually in a culturally diverse community
Work permanent night duty shifts as part of a rotating team
