About this role

The Hoag Specialty Clinic is seeking a Psychiatrist to join a growing team of Maternal Mental Health Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and therapists. This role includes clinical time and protected administrative time at the Newport Beach and Irvine locations.

The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations for Hoag patients in the outpatient setting in person or via synchronous telehealth. Expert consultations are also provided for admitted maternity patients at Hoag Hospital campuses.

Time is spent across Newport Beach, Irvine and via telehealth with approximate hours of 8am-5pm. The position supports a growing program backed by the Hoag Women’s Health Institute.

This opportunity offers a mix of direct patient care and program development within a multidisciplinary maternal mental health setting focused on reproductive psychiatry.

Requirements

Board Certification or Board eligible in Psychiatry with experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
Specialty training in Perinatal & Reproductive Psychiatry
MD or DO degree and completion of ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry
Active, unrestricted California Medical License or eligible for California State Medical Licensure
Active DEA license

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations for Hoag patients in the outpatient setting in person or via synchronous telehealth.
Provide expert consultations for admitted maternity patients at Hoag Hospital’s Newport Beach and Irvine campuses.
Deliver care across outpatient clinics and hospital settings with protected administrative time included.
