This part-time Clinical Faculty role involves teaching Mental Health Nursing in the BSN program at Chamberlain University in Manchester, NH. Instruction is onsite at a clinical partner with 12-hour rotations for three to four consecutive days.

Faculty implement the College's philosophy and curriculum through clinical teaching. They plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision, and evaluate nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups. Faculty also provide documented feedback on student performance based on course objectives and are available for remediation as needed.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
Current unencumbered RN license in New Hampshire.
Clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing.
Experience in teaching or clinical instruction in nursing education preferred.
Knowledge of therapeutic communication techniques, group therapy practices, and community mental health resources.
Ability to plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance based on course objectives.
Familiarity with agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.

Responsibilities

Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care.
Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency, and learning needs.
Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
May teach didactic course content under supervision of the course coordinator.
