About this role

Cabrini Women's Mental Health Service is Australia's premier private, women-only mental health service, housed within the Lisa Thurin Women's Health Centre in Elsternwick. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker Grade 3 to join our innovative team and become an integral part of this new approach to women's mental health.

In this role, you will deliver empathetic, respectful, and personalised patient care across three service areas: inpatient, day program, and outpatient individual therapy. Your days will involve facilitating and leading group therapy sessions, providing individual therapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR, and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our approach to care is grounded in psychological principles, trauma-informed practices, and a recovery-oriented perspective, allowing us to holistically understand and address the unique needs of each individual. You will work within a dedicated team in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where both patients and clinicians feel protected.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mental Health settings
  • Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably within private mental health
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating and leading group therapy sessions
  • Proficiency in various treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR
  • Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by women in the context of mental health
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Police Record Check
  • Registration with relevant governing body
