About this role
The Mercy Hospitals Victoria Learning Team is seeking a motivated and experienced nurse educator committed to providing quality education for nursing and midwifery clinical placements. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and Academic Partners to ensure a seamless delivery of placements at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg.
As the Clinical Placement Coordinator, you will assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of learning activities across the organisation. This role is key in promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering nurses and midwives in the public health sector.

Requirements
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach.
- Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
- Experience in clinical education or student placement coordination.
- Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality focused education opportunities for nursing and midwifery clinical placements.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and Assistant Directors of Nursing and Midwifery Education in the development, implementation and evaluation of learning activities across the organisation.
- Coordinate with Academic Partners to ensure a seamless delivery of clinical placements within the health service.
- Support clinical placement students and preceptors to promote excellence in professional practice.
- Empower nurses and midwives through education to foster a positive learning environment.
- Assist in orientation and ongoing support for new clinical placement students.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of education programs.
