About this role
This is a leadership role within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia, based on the Fremantle Campus. The position offers a full-time, continuing contract and the chance to shape the next generation of midwifery professionals.
Day-to-day, you will deliver high-quality teaching across tutorials, practical classes, workshops, and clinical settings. You will also develop and review curriculum, coordinate courses, and supervise Honours and postgraduate research students.

Requirements
- Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Midwifery or area of speciality.
- Current registration with AHPRA with no notations and/or restrictions.
- Minimum 5 years post registration in healthcare education, clinical coordinator or related field.
- Proven experience in the preceptorship/mentorship and supervision of nursing students/junior staff within a clinical setting.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, accreditation standards for nursing and midwifery education programs and clinical placement best practices.
- Sound knowledge of registered nurse practice standards, nursing education principles, clinical teaching methods, and student assessment techniques.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality teaching across tutorials, practical classes, workshops, clinical, studio, and field-based settings.
- Develop, review, and enhance curriculum and course materials.
- Coordinate courses and units to ensure effective delivery and student success.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and other learning activities.
- Supervise Honours and postgraduate research and coursework students.
- Conduct and contribute to research, including leading research projects and teams where appropriate.
- Provide academic advice, support, and consultation to students.
- Contribute to academic administration, governance, and quality assurance activities.
