About this role
This role provides strategic leadership in national curriculum design, review and evaluation, ensuring accreditation readiness and effective program governance. You will oversee the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery program across all campuses, ensuring a nationally consistent and high-quality student experience.
Drive continuous improvement through analysis of student outcomes, program performance data, stakeholder feedback and external benchmarking. Lead curriculum design, review and innovation to align with professional standards and contemporary midwifery practice, and champion evidence-informed learning and teaching practices.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high performing academic culture across campuses. Provide leadership, mentorship and capability development for Program Coordinators and academic staff, promoting excellence in teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery. Monitor student progression and implement strategies that support student achievement and wellbeing.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry, accreditation bodies, clinical placement providers and key stakeholders. Represent the midwifery program in internal and external forums, contributing to strategic planning. Requirements
- Current registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for registration.
- Possession of a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
- Extensive experience in midwifery education with a proven track record of curriculum leadership.
- Advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.
- Demonstrated experience in program coordination and governance within higher education.
- In-depth knowledge of ANMAC accreditation standards and quality assurance processes.

- Provide leadership, mentorship and capability development for Program Coordinators and academic staff, fostering excellence in teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery.
- Champion innovative and evidence-informed learning and teaching practices that enhance student engagement, success and graduate readiness.
- Monitor student progression, retention and completion outcomes, implementing strategies that support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry, accreditation bodies, clinical placement providers and key internal stakeholders.
