About this role

Maven is looking for a mission-driven, empathetic lactation consultant to support members through virtual care services. As a Maven provider you will connect with members across the globe while scaling impact and healthcare access worldwide.

You will provide 20-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging on breastfeeding basics, establishing a good latch, pumping, and avoiding or combo feeding. Encounter summaries are captured in the MPractice system with follow-up recommendations as needed.

You will join a curated provider network of 30+ specialties dedicated to holistic, high-value care. Collaboration with the Care Delivery team ensures member needs are met through in-person referrals when appropriate.

Requirements

Must be an IBCLC.
Must be residing in the United States; candidates in CA, CT, IL, NJ, NY, MA, MD, or OR cannot be considered at this time.
Ability to provide direct member care for 5 hours per week in a part-time, independent contractor (1099) role.
2+ years of prior experience in the telehealth space and comfort providing care through a digital health platform.
Passionate about women’s and family health.

Responsibilities

Provide virtual care and support to adult members via 20-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging on breastfeeding basics, latch and positioning, pumping, and feeding options.
Capture encounter summary documentation in the MPractice practice management system.
Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team to ensure member needs are met, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups.
Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model by providing culturally humble care and championing better outcomes for women and families.
