Curepipe, MU · Full-time · MUR 300,000 – MUR 480,000

About this role

C-Care is currently recruiting a dedicated and proactive Midwife, passionate about improving patient care, to join C-Care Darné. Reporting to the Maternity Supervisor, the selected candidate will provide advice, care, and support for women, their partners, and families during the pre-conceptual, antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods.

Modern maternity practices emphasize a 'woman-centred' approach, allowing for choice and continuity of care. The role involves diagnosing, monitoring, and examining women throughout pregnancy, as well as supervising and assisting mothers during labour while monitoring the condition of the foetus.

The midwife works closely with paramedical and medical practitioners to ensure seamless continuity of care. They also offer crucial support and counselling following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality, or neonatal death, and provide health education and parenting support to new families.

This position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for professional development to meet PREP (post-registration education and practice) requirements, fostering growth within a busy maternity environment. The role is ideal for a team player with excellent customer care skills who thrives in a dynamic clinical setting.
