About this role
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Hudson Valley Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem Midwife to join a supportive, compassionate environment dedicated to all phases of ante- through postpartum care. As a cornerstone for women through all phases of their lives, our midwives provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care, including for underserved populations.
In this role, you will practice full scope care as an independent provider while also participating in consultation and collaboration with physicians to meet the needs of more high-risk patients. Your day-to-day work includes seeing patients in the office and taking call on Labor and Delivery, fostering a culture of empathy, collaborative decision making, and empowerment for women.

This Per Diem position requires a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week, with hours and days varying to include weekends and holidays. Requirements
- Current New York State midwifery license
- National certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)
- 2+ years of midwifery experience (preferred)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
- NRP certification (preferred)
- Ability to work on-site within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Medical Group
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care for women, including underserved populations
- Act as a vital resource for women and families throughout their entire life span
- Practice full scope care as an independent provider
- Participate in consultation and collaboration with physicians to meet the needs of high-risk patients
- See patients in the office and take call on Labor and Delivery
- Foster a culture of empathy, collaborative decision making, and empowerment for women
- Work a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week, including weekends and holidays as needed
