Mater Mothers' Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and passionate Midwives to join our Private Postnatal Ward. Whether you are an experienced Clinical Midwife or a Registered Midwife ready to take the next step, this is your opportunity to grow within one of Queensland's most respected maternity care teams.

In this part-time role (32 hours per week), you will provide high-quality private postnatal care across a range of normal and complex cases. Your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and compassionate approach will ensure exceptional care for every patient while supporting your team to deliver best practice midwifery care.

You will join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team that values professionalism, collaboration, and a shared passion for delivering the very best in maternity care. As a leader in maternity and newborn services, Mater Mothers' Hospital provides holistic care spanning obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal fetal medicine.

This position offers both permanent and maximum-term contracts, with the chance to assist the Midwifery Unit Manager in clinical and safety improvement audits. You will also champion excellence across the team, mentoring others and driving continuous improvement in care quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
  • Minimum two years' post-graduate experience as a Registered Midwife, ideally within a postnatal setting
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional and educational development, preferably with postgraduate qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in health care and midwifery practice
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a collaborative multidisciplinary team
