Atrium Health, a leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving the Carolinas and Georgia, invites experienced Certified Nurse Midwife Advanced Practice Providers to join the Women’s Care Team at Atrium Health Women’s Care Northeast OBGYN in Cabarrus. This role focuses on providing high-quality obstetric care in an inpatient setting.

Managing laboring patients, performing vaginal deliveries, and triaging obstetric concerns are key daily tasks. The nurse midwife also rounds on postpartum patients and assists with c-sections. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no nights, weekends, or call.

The practice consists of 9 OB/GYN physicians and 4 other advanced practice providers, fostering a collaborative team environment. Atrium Health Women’s Care provides the highest quality care for women, with a focus on exceptional gynecologic and obstetric care. The nurse midwife will have access to collaborating or on-call physicians for support.

Requirements

  • Board certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse-midwifery program
  • Experience managing labor and delivery in an inpatient setting
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice providers

Responsibilities

  • Manage laboring patients
