NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a per diem Midwife to join our Hudson Valley Medical Group. Our midwives are a cornerstone for women through all phases of their lives, providing prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care for women, including underserved populations.

Midwives practice full scope care as independent providers while also participating in consultation and collaboration with physicians to meet the needs of high-risk patients. Whether seeing patients in the office or taking call on Labor and Delivery, they provide a culture of empathy, collaborative decision making, and empowerment to women.

Work in a newly built Labor and Delivery unit designed with modern technology, patient-centered workflows, and enhanced safety features created to support both exceptional outcomes and provider experience. This role requires one 12-hour shift minimum per week, including weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in New York State
  • Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Midwifery
  • Experience providing full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services
  • Ability to work independently as a provider while collaborating with physicians for high-risk patients
  • Willingness to work a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week, including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to serving underserved populations
