About this role
Building on its success in substance use disorder care, Affect has expanded to offer high-quality, accessible mental health treatment. We are seeking skilled, compassionate licensed mental health professionals to join our remote care team. This state-specific role is for North Carolina licensed clinicians, bringing together licensed therapists, innovative technology, and a deeply human approach.
In this role, you will conduct diagnostic assessments and collaboratively develop evidence-based treatment plans. You will provide individual psychotherapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, supporting members with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will also maintain clear and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record system.
You will coordinate care as needed and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Participate in clinical team meetings and optional case consultations. Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable state licensure regulations while working independently with professionalism in a remote setting.
Affect is building a team to meet growing demand for accessible mental health care. Full-time and part-time schedules are available with flexible remote work options. The salary range for full-time positions is $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and professional license.
Requirements
- Active and verifiable North Carolina license (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or LPC), as well as license in state of residence if different.
- Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient, private practice, or telehealth settings.
- Strong communication and clinical skills with a person-centered, trauma-informed approach.
- Comfort with electronic medical records, Google Suite or Microsoft Office, and telehealth tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with professionalism and integrity.
- Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet.
Responsibilities

- Support members with a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, with flexibility to work with members with substance use disorders at times.

- Coordinate care as needed and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and optional case consultations.
- Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable state licensure regulations.
