About this role

Provide nurse-midwifery care to a caseload of clients within TriHealth. Maintain competence in delivering healthcare services to patients of all ages and developmental levels. Comply with a Standard Care Agreement with a physician for practice and prescriptive authority while sustaining staff privileges.

Utilize expertise for consultation, education, and research activities. Participate effectively in problem solving, consultation, and case management of patient care. Maintain and update current clinical skills on a consistent basis.

Serve as an educator for personnel, clients, families, students, and communities. Establish positive relationships with staff, colleagues, patients, families, and other health care providers. Act as a role model of professional nurse-midwifery conduct and practice.

Apply critical decision making ability within a multidisciplinary environment. New graduates are welcome, with one to two years of full scope nurse-midwifery practice preferred. Professional membership in a nursing specialty organization is required.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing with major in Nurse Midwifery
  • Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives
  • Registered Nurse with CNM Licensure
  • Critical decision making ability
  • Skilled in teamwork with multiple disciplines
  • Professional membership in nursing specialty organization required
  • 1-2 years experience full scope nurse-midwifery practice preferred
