About this role

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public hospital providing care to a culturally diverse and rapidly growing community in the West of Melbourne. Our maternity services support nearly 4,000 low to moderate risk women across their childbearing journey each year.

As a Registered Midwife, you will work across Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Unit, Pregnancy Day stay, Antenatal and Postnatal services including Midwifery in the Home. You will support women through the entire pregnancy journey using your full scope of midwifery practice.

Requirements

  • AHPRA Registration as a Registered Midwife
  • Current RANZCOG FSEP credentialing or working towards
  • Strong team work ethic
  • Expertise and experience in Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal Care
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional family and woman-centred care
  • Ability to obtain a current Police Record Check (cost covered by Mercy Health)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders

Responsibilities

  • Provide woman-centred care across the childbearing journey, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services.
  • Work in Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Unit, Pregnancy Day stay, and Midwifery in the Home.
  • Support women through the entire pregnancy journey using your full scope of midwifery practice.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated maternity education team and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Participate in a rotating roster to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Deliver care to a culturally diverse and rapidly growing community in Melbourne's West.
