About this role

Lead alongside the wider senior leadership team to support primary care models and integrated care in a tertiary environment. Manage and support outreach/caseload services at Otepoti Dunedin Maternity. This 0.5 FTE project-based role runs fixed term until June 2025.

Provide professional and clinical leadership for the primary outreach/caseload service. Ensure safe and effective delivery of maternity care while identifying and mitigating clinical risks. Drive continuous quality improvement and support quality and safety initiatives.

Coordinate resources to meet needs of clients/whānau and team members in a caseload environment. Manage staff and client flows effectively. Work within a tertiary maternity service supporting antenatal and postnatal midwifery care.

Use proven leadership skills to facilitate and enhance service delivery. Provide operational leadership for sustainable operations. Ensure the service is appropriately staffed with best practice human resource standards.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills to facilitate and enhance midwifery service delivery
  • Experience supporting primary care models in a tertiary maternity environment
  • Knowledge of outreach and caseload midwifery services
  • Expertise in quality and safety initiatives for maternity care
  • Ability to manage clinical risks and continuous quality improvement
  • Skills in coordinating resources for clients/whānau and team members
  • Competence in staff management and operational leadership in caseload settings
