About this role
Gidget Foundation Australia seeks experienced clinicians to deliver perinatal mental health services at the new Gidget House site in Yanchep. The role focuses on supporting expectant and new parents through individual, couple and parent-infant therapies from conception to one year postpartum.
Clinicians provide pre-conception counselling and evidence-based interventions for depressive, anxiety, trauma and stressor-related disorders. Support also extends to families who have experienced pregnancy or childbirth-related loss including stillbirth, miscarriage or termination.
Services operate under Medicare’s Better Access Initiative with remuneration paid at the affiliated Medicare Rebate rate. The not-for-profit foundation supplies full administrative support, centralised booking and free room rental so clinicians can concentrate on client care.
Staff receive free group and individual supervision plus access to specialist perinatal seminars and the annual GFA conference at no cost. A free Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Training program is available for clinicians who wish to develop this specialty.
