About this role
Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) is seeking a full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife to join Care for Her, our women's health center in beautiful northern California. This collaborative practice currently comprises 9 CNMs, WHNPs, OB-GYNs, FM-OB, and CPSP educators.
A full-time position typically consists of two 8-hour clinic days and two 12-hour hospital shifts per week. Patients are seen for regularly scheduled appointments in our outpatient clinic and for deliveries at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley, just 8 minutes from our clinic.
Inpatient care is provided at the local 11-bed L&D unit where TOLACs are an option. Our patient mix includes low and high-risk cases, with higher-risk patients co-managed with our OB-GYNs and in consultation with UCSF Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Requirements
- Active California license as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- Current DEA and Furnishing license
- Ability to provide full-scope midwifery care
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for diverse communities
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery care, encompassing all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology
- See patients for regularly scheduled appointments in the outpatient clinic
- Manage deliveries at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley
- Provide inpatient care at the local 11-bed L&D unit, including TOLAC options
- Co-manage higher-risk patients with OB-GYNs and in consultation with UCSF Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Collaborate with a team of CNMs, WHNPs, OB-GYNs, FM-OB providers, and CPSP educators
