Recovery Centers of America

Monroeville, US · Full-time · $55,000 – $70,000

About this role

The Therapist plans, directs, and coordinates treatment for patients in inpatient and/or outpatient SUD and mental health programs. This role inspires and motivates patients to develop tools for recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering individual and group therapy as well as family coaching and support. The therapist evaluates patients' mental and physical health, substance use, and readiness for treatment, then works with the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals documented in a treatment plan.

Measurement-Based Care (MBC) screeners are utilized to assess patients, integrate results into treatment planning, and track progress to influence care decisions. The therapist also educates families about SUD and mental illness, helping them develop coping strategies.

Coordination with the multidisciplinary treatment team is central to this role, including reviewing treatment options that support a full continuum of care and making recommendations for discharge and aftercare planning. The therapist helps patients identify behaviors that interfere with recovery and develop skills necessary for sustained recovery.
