In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing lactation management services to expectant and new parents.

Your day-to-day work involves communicating clearly and openly with patients and colleagues, building relationships to promote a collaborative environment, and always looking for ways to improve the patient experience. You will take initiative for your professional growth while being engaged and eager to build a winning team.

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital serving southwestern Dallas County. The hospital features a newly renovated labor and delivery unit, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a Level III Trauma Center, with recognition for excellence in women and children's services.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred
  • 2 years experience in lactation consulting required
  • Ability to work in a highly technical, fast-paced clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships
  • Commitment to improving the patient experience
  • Willingness to take initiative for professional growth
