Maven seeks a mission-driven, empathetic lactation consultant for virtual care services. Connect with members globally via 20-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging on breastfeeding basics, latch corrections, pumping, and feeding options. Capture summaries in MPractice and collaborate with the Care Delivery team for referrals.

Requirements

Must be an IBCLC
Residing in the United States, not in CA, CT, IL, NJ, NY, MA, MD, OR
Able to provide direct member care for 5 hours per week
Part-time, independent contractor role (1099 position)
2+ years of prior experience in the telehealth space
Comfortable providing care through a digital health platform
Own an iOS device (iPhone or iPad) that can be updated past iOS16
Access to a laptop computer with strong and reliable internet

Responsibilities

Provide virtual care and support to members via 20-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging around breastfeeding basics
Assist with establishing a good latch and making positional corrections for best success
Guide on understanding a normal experience, pumping, avoiding formula, combo feeding, and/or formula feeding
Offer resources and actionable steps
Capture encounter summary documentation in MPractice
Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team for member needs, including in-person referrals and follow-ups
Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model, providing culturally humble care
