About this role

Secure this exciting caseload opportunity before the end of 2024. As an Ōtepoti Caseloading Midwife, work within a dynamic, professional and nurturing team environment. Provide comprehensive care across the care continuum to whānau accessing outreach services with a catchment of approximately 300 whānau.

Support the provision of an outreach service meeting whānau needs while monitoring clinical outcomes, satisfaction and standards. Deliver excellence in clinical care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal phases within a community midwifery hybrid service. Ensure discharge planning and handover to well child providers are robust and timely.

Work collaboratively with community midwives, caseloading colleagues and senior midwifery leaders. Contribute to a streamlined, comprehensive, safe, efficient and effective service. Join dedicated, passionate and caring colleagues making a positive difference to whānau lives.

Requirements

  • NZ Registered Midwife holding a current APC
  • Sound professional and clinical judgement
  • Relevant knowledge of patient safety and resource management
  • Demonstrate clinical quality, safety and best practice
  • Build successful working relationships and work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
  • Confidence with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or commitment to starting the journey

Responsibilities

  • Support provision of an outreach service meeting whānau needs, monitoring clinical outcomes, whānau satisfaction and clinical standards
  • Provide excellence in clinical care across the care continuum within a community midwifery hybrid service
