About this role

UNFPA Myanmar is seeking a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Programme Analyst to strengthen the integration and delivery of MHPSS interventions across implementing partners and sub-grantees. This critical role supports UNFPA's broader mandate to advance gender equality, empower women and girls, and improve access to sexual and reproductive health services in the context of protracted crisis, displacement, and ongoing conflict.

The analyst will provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to partners, support evidence generation and knowledge management, and contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of MHPSS initiatives. Day-to-day work involves close collaboration with GBV and SRH Programme Analysts at field offices and MHPSS colleagues based in Yangon and Taunggyi, with periodic monitoring visits to UNFPA-supported facilities across the country.

This position reports directly to the Coordination Specialist, GBV & MHPSS, and is part of a dedicated team committed to ensuring safe and dignified access to services for the most vulnerable individuals. The analyst will help integrate MHPSS within Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services, addressing severe psychological distress and trauma generated by Myanmar's ongoing humanitarian crisis.

This consultancy offers an opportunity to make a tangible difference in a challenging humanitarian and development setting while contributing to UNFPA's strategic priorities under its fourth Country Programme (2018–2025). The role provides exposure to high-impact MHPSS programming and collaboration with UN agencies, government partners, and civil society organizations.
