About this role

Foresight is an outpatient mental health company offering virtual and in-person therapy across California. Our purpose is to improve access to high-quality mental health care. We are actively hiring for a Maternal Mental Health Therapist to join our growing Maternal Mental Health (MMH) Specialty Program.

In this role, you will provide individual and group therapy to individuals who are trying to conceive or in the perinatal period using evidence-based approaches. You will maintain a clinical caseload of 25-35 clients, support screening and intake, and provide crisis management and stabilization as needed.

You will participate in interdisciplinary MMH rounds, contributing to case discussions and treatment planning alongside psychiatry and other disciplines. You will collaborate with leadership to identify trends and opportunities for program growth, ensuring coordinated, comprehensive care.

Beyond direct care, you will develop and deliver internal education on perinatal and reproductive mental health for clinicians. You will also represent the MMH program at internal and external events, serving as an advocate for maternal mental health within and beyond the organization.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Postpartum Support International PMH-C certification strongly preferred; candidates without PMH-C certification must demonstrate significant focused experience providing mental health care to patients during pregnancy and the postpartum period
  • Current California licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist
  • Minimum of two years post-license experience in behavioral health, IOP, or PHP experience
  • Strong communication including proactive and responsive communication with clients and internal teams
  • Proficiency with essential technology platforms such as EHR systems, Zoom, Google Suite, and Dayforce

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to individuals who are trying to conceive or in the perinatal period using evidence-based approaches
  • Maintain a clinical caseload between 25-35 clients depending on program needs and administrative time
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
  • Support screening, intake, and assessment to ensure appropriate fit and timely access to care
  • Collaborate with psychiatry and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
  • Provide crisis management and stabilization as needed
  • Participate in interdisciplinary MMH program rounds, contributing to case discussions, treatment planning, and program development
  • Develop and deliver internal education on perinatal and reproductive mental health
