
About this role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Midwife to join our Delivery Services. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to expectant mothers during labor, the birthing process, and early postpartum period. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and positive birthing experiences for mothers and families.
Day-to-day duties include conducting comprehensive antenatal assessments and supporting women in active labor. You will monitor maternal and fetal well-being using clinical assessments and cardiotocography (CTG). Facilitate normal vaginal deliveries and deliver immediate postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage complex or high-risk labors. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, partograms, and a safe, clean delivery room environment per infection control standards. Communicate with mothers and companions, offering emotional support and health education.
Perform routine newborn care, including initial assessments, feeding support, and screening procedures. Identify and report complications promptly for timely interventions. Participate in clinical supervision, continuous professional development, and team evaluation sessions.
Requirements
- Diploma (D3/D4) or Professional Midwifery
- Minimum 1 year experience as midwife, fresh graduates welcome
- Active STR
- APN certificate
