Lactation Consultant

We’d love to have you join us as a Lactation Consultant. Serving at UCLA Health will give you the opportunity to use your specialized abilities to help improve the lives of new mothers, their babies, and their families. Major duties focus on lactation services in postpartum, NICU, and Pediatrics units.

Provide direct assessment, planning, intervening, and evaluating of lactation services for inpatient mothers on the post-partum unit. Support mothers of infants in the NICU and Pediatrics with specialized lactation consultation. Participate in related follow-up activities to ensure ongoing care.

This role requires floating between Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Develop relevant policies and procedures for lactation services. Educate the health team on best practices in maternity care.

Work (2) 8-hour shifts per week with variable day/evening hours in a fully on-site environment. Position offers an estimated salary rate of $50.00 per hour and may convert to career status. Gain exposure across key maternity care settings at UCLA Health.
