About this role

We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife at our Chula Vista Health Center. This role is fully benefitted at 32 hours per week with 8-hour shifts on a two-week rotating schedule. One weekly shift occurs at the Euclid Avenue Health Center.

Provide high-quality exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling in reproductive healthcare. Serve as a medical resource that supports and empowers both licensed and non-licensed team members. Deliver care that reflects evidence-based protocols and guidelines.

Collaborate with physicians, other providers, and management on patient care and clinical improvements. Partner with the Case Management team on lab results, referrals, and ongoing patient needs. Work in a fast-paced setting where no two days are the same.

Receive a rigorous training and on-boarding program similar to a fellowship. Pursue continuing education opportunities while gaining skills such as IUC retrievals, Nexplanon insertions, cryotherapy, and prescribing gender-affirming hormone therapy.

Requirements

  • Hold an active California license as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife.
  • Demonstrate compassion in providing patient care and supporting staff.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
  • Willing to provide coverage support when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling in reproductive healthcare.
  • Serve as a medical resource supporting and empowering licensed and non-licensed team members.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other providers, and management on patient care and clinical improvements.
  • Partner with Case Management on lab results, referrals, and other patient care needs.
  • Perform procedures including IUC retrievals, Nexplanon insertions, cryotherapy, and Bartholin Cyst I&D.
  • Prescribe gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) as appropriate.
  • Maintain evidence-based protocols while delivering compassionate patient care.
