About this role

The appointee shall provide services as assigned in furtherance of OHSU's missions of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. This role delivers care aligned with a defined scope of practice in the Nurse-Midwifery Marquam Hill practice.

Clinical activities include direct patient care in the ambulatory OHSU Center for Women's Health and inpatient 12C Labor & Delivery. The hybrid practice requires inpatient coverage of days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including triage, consults, and first assist at cesarean section.

Requirements

Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Oregon.
Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or higher (DNP or PhD).
Current BLS and NRP certifications.
Clinical experience in full-scope midwifery care across the care continuum.
Ability to provide first assist at cesarean sections.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for the patient population in the ambulatory OHSU Center for Women's Health and inpatient 12C Labor & Delivery.
Cover inpatient shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, performing triage, consults, and first assist at cesarean section.
Manage ambulatory daytime clinic sessions as part of the hybrid practice model.
Participate in departmental and division meetings as indirect clinical activities.
Engage in faculty pursuits including OB/GYN Nurse-Midwifery Grand Rounds and Nurse-Midwifery Program activities.
Contribute to faculty governance with additional engagement based on rank.
Support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU by working with students, trainees, and patients participating in research.
