Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a full-time Perinatal Psychologist to join the Division of Maternal Mental Health at CHRISTUS Children's in San Antonio. The role includes an appointment as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at BCM. CHRISTUS Children's is a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital partnering with BCM for pediatric services.

Provide evidence-based outpatient integrated behavioral health services to women and partners in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic during pregnancy and postpartum. Participate in multidisciplinary teams supporting families expecting fetuses with congenital anomalies preparing for surgery after delivery. Offer inpatient consultations and interventions to labor and delivery units as needed.

Work collaboratively with OB/MFM, Psychiatry, and Social Work to establish treatment plans during perinatal and postnatal periods. Engage in program development for NICU parent support services and developmental cognitive testing for children aged 0-3 with medical complexities. Supervise pediatric and psychiatry residents, psychology fellows, and interns.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from APA-accredited programs
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in perinatal mental health or women's health (formal postdoctoral fellowship preferred)
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Texas
  • Spanish-speaker strongly preferred

Responsibilities
