Oregon Health & Science University's School of Nursing seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our Marquam Hill practice, guided by a mission of healing, teaching, and discovery to optimize health, prepare nurse leaders, and transform health care. In this hybrid role, you will deliver direct patient care in the ambulatory OHSU Center for Women's Health and inpatient 12C Labor & Delivery, with coverage requirements including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Your clinical duties encompass triage, consults, and first assist at cesarean section, with a maximum of 1433.6 clinical hours per year.
You will participate in departmental scheduling processes that ensure equitable distribution of coverage and safe, consistent clinical operations. Faculty activities include participation in OB/GYN Nurse-Midwifery Grand Rounds, Nurse-Midwifery Program activities, and faculty governance based on rank.
This role is structured as a 0.8 cFTE with 85.6 12.5-hour inpatient shifts and 70.1 4-hour clinic sessions annually. You will support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU by working with students, trainees, and patients participating in research, consistent with your role and scope of practice.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)
- Ability to meet the minimum qualifications for the position as outlined in the cover letter
- Demonstrated teaching, research, and scholarship interests aligned with the OHSU mission
- Experience in both inpatient and ambulatory midwifery care settings
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

- Participate in departmental scheduling processes including weekend and holiday responsibilities
- Engage in faculty pursuits such as OB/GYN Nurse-Midwifery Grand Rounds and Nurse-Midwifery Program activities
- Participate in faculty governance and additional engagement based on rank
- Support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU by working with students, trainees, and patients in research
