Certified Nurse Midwife

Advanced practice clinicians must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. This role supports maternity care across Gundersen Health System locations. The position maintains high standards for patient care and professional practice.

Clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician as part of daily operations. They may provide outreach services to extend care within the system. These activities ensure consistent support for patients across multiple sites.

Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff forms a core expectation. This aligns with the Medical Education philosophy that values learning and innovation. Clinicians contribute to developing future providers through hands-on guidance.
