About this role

PPOSBC is looking for a Clinician to join the Mission Viejo Health Center team. Provide non-judgmental, empathic and high quality patient care. Responsibilities include exams, treatment, education and counseling for patients in accordance with agency protocols.

Follow a 4/10 schedule with one weekend day required per week. Adhere to agency policies, procedures and protocols for physical exams, procedural skills, judgement, charting and patient communication. Participate in health center efforts to achieve productivity goals under 60 minutes.

Provide clinical services per PPOSBC Medical Standards and Guidelines, including abortion services. Document patient data accurately and completely in the medical record. Evaluate and treat medical problems with follow-up and referrals as necessary.

Requirements

  • Current California clinician’s license
  • Furnishing license, as applicable to NP
  • Board Certification preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • ACLS required for surgical sites
  • Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife with reproductive/primary care specialty
  • Preferred women’s, managed/primary health care experience
  • Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures and protocols for performing physical exams, procedural skills, judgement, charting and communication with patients
  • Participate in health center efforts to achieve productivity goals of under 60 minutes
  • Provide clinical services outlined in PPOSBC Medical Standards and Guidelines, including abortion services
  • Document patient data accurately and completely in the medical record
  • Evaluate and treat medical problems, ensuring follow-up and appropriate referrals
  • Supervise follow-up procedures for abnormal laboratory results
  • Dispense prescription medications under standing order
  • Participate in a team approach to patient care
