Exciting role for a Nurse Midwife Educator to join Mercy Hospital Victoria Ltd Education Team as Assistant Director Nursing and Midwifery Education. The Learning Team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Nurses and Midwives in the public health sector. This role leads and influences quality education and professional development to build the future workforce.
Serve as expert clinical advisor for educational strategies related to Women’s and Children’s programs. Develop and implement educational strategies for maternity and neonatal education programs. Work collaboratively with the Director and education team to support clinical staff education and training across undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.

Requirements
- Currently dual registered Nurse and Midwife or Midwife with AHPRA
- Post registration qualification in education (desired but not essential)
- Experience in leadership and management including the ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team
- Advanced skills in educational design and implementation
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery workforce challenges and practices
- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve
- Compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management
- Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
