Launch into a Midwifery leadership position that delivers variety and growth within Maternity Services at Royal Hobart Hospital. Relocation support will be negotiated for those moving to Tasmania. This role offers a permanent full-time day worker position at 76 hours per fortnight.
The Midwifery Unit Manager provides leadership to ensure efficient and effective care based on clinical standards and best practice principles. Coordinate clinical, management, education, and midwifery research functions within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework. This involves leading overall patient care coordination across the service.

Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable)
- Leadership experience in maternity services
- Clinical expertise in midwifery and maternity care
- Management skills in coordinating healthcare resources
- Knowledge of clinical standards and best practice in midwifery
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the Maternity Services at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)
- Ensure efficient and effective provision of care based on clinical standards and best practice principles
- Coordinate clinical, management, education, and midwifery and nursing research functions within Maternity Services
- Lead and manage coordination of overall patient care
- Manage allocated human, material, and financial resources for service delivery
- Oversee multidisciplinary team collaboration in maternity care delivery
- Promote quality midwifery practices and patient safety standards
