Based at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, this full-time continuing Senior Lecturer position sits within Deakin University's School of Nursing and Midwifery. The role offers the opportunity to shape the future of midwifery and nursing education through innovative teaching, strong research leadership and meaningful collaboration with industry and community partners.
You will lead innovative, research-informed teaching and curriculum design across undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery and nursing programs. Driving a focused, high-quality research program with growing national recognition and emerging international impact forms a central part of the work.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides a supportive environment dedicated to student success, research excellence and positive health impact. You will build and mentor effective teaching and research teams while supporting colleagues, HDR students and ECRs.

Requirements
- A PhD and advanced disciplinary expertise in midwifery and nursing, with registration as both a midwife and registered nurse.
- A strong track record of scholarly teaching excellence, including curriculum innovation, assessment design and supervision of UG/PG learners.
- A nationally recognised research profile, demonstrated through quality publications, funding success and growing industry or clinical partnerships.
- Proven leadership capability, with the ability to mentor colleagues, lead teaching teams, supervise HDR students and contribute to School-level strategy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement with students, colleagues, industry, community and government stakeholders.
