Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Washington State
- Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program
- Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
- Two years of experience in OB/GYN
- Clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women’s health
- DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and their newborns
- Conduct routine gynecological exams, including Pap smears and breast exams
- Offer family planning services and contraceptive counseling
- Assist with labor and delivery, including natural and medically assisted births
- Monitor the health of mother and baby during and after childbirth
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed
- Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care
