About this role

The Stony Brook University School of Nursing invites applications for 1–2 clinical faculty appointments ranging from 0.5–1.0 FTE within the School of Nursing. These positions offer an exciting opportunity for experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Certified Nurse Midwives to contribute to the education of future nurses. Advance innovative nursing education within a nationally recognized academic health center.

Dynamic clinician–educators will teach across undergraduate and graduate nursing courses and programs, including classroom, clinical, and simulation-based learning environments. Bring specialized expertise in neonatal NP or CNM practice to support student learning throughout the curriculum. Lead innovative, student-centered teaching and experiential learning that prepares graduates with clinical reasoning and leadership competencies.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Recent clinical experience demonstrating excellence in advanced practice
  • Strong commitment to nursing education
  • Dynamic clinician–educator with specialized expertise in neonatal or midwifery care
  • Ability to bring creativity and innovation to teaching practices
